Salah Habit ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it's used, and your choices. Using Salah Habit requires an account, which you create by signing in with Apple or Google. Everything else — prayer times, reminders, and app blocking — is handled on your device.
Information We Use
Location. With your permission, Salah Habit uses your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. This is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us or stored on any server we control.
Account & backup. Salah Habit requires an account, created by signing in with Apple or Google. Authentication and storage are provided by Google Firebase. We store your email address, your name if you provide one, your onboarding answers, and your prayer completion history, so they can be restored if you change or lose your device. If you sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email," we only ever receive Apple's private relay address, never your real one.
Prayer & app activity. Your prayer completion history, streaks, and app preferences (such as your name and notification settings) are kept on your device and backed up to your account so they survive a new phone. They are never shared with anyone else.
Notifications. Prayer time reminders and other in-app notifications are scheduled directly on your device and are never routed through an external server.
Purchases & subscriptions. If you subscribe to Focus Mode Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple, and subscription status is verified using RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat may receive a device identifier and purchase/transaction data necessary to validate your entitlement. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Screen Time / App Blocking. If you enable Focus Mode, app selections you make are handled by Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework directly on your device. We do not receive or see which apps you've chosen to block.
What We Don't Do
We do not sell your data.
We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not share your prayer history with anyone.
We do not collect any personal information beyond the email address your sign-in provider gives us.
Your Choices
You can sign out at any time from Settings › Account.
You can permanently delete your account, and everything stored with it, from Settings › Account › Delete account. This removes your account and your backed-up history from our systems and cannot be undone.
Third-Party Services
Salah Habit relies on the following third parties, solely for the purposes described above:
Apple — App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time, Sign in with Apple
Google Firebase — authentication and encrypted storage of your backed-up data
RevenueCat — subscription management
Data Retention
Backed-up data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes it. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app or use "Clear all data" in Settings.
Children's Privacy
Salah Habit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
